Kodiaks Walk It Off for 87th Win of Season
The Alaska Kodiaks picked up a win at Tundradome, taking down the Portland Dragons, 4-3. Starting pitcher Taisei Yamamoto was a big reason why. Bill Zamora was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Charlie Petipas. Alaska goes to 87-49. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.

Enriquillo Zelaya was the walk-off hero for Alaska. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kodiaks third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Taisei gave us a heck of an effort," said Alaska manager Alex King.
