Friars Handed 6-2 Loss by Houston
|
The Houston Aquas converted a terrific effort from starter Chris Sayler into a win over the San Francisco Friars at Tesoro Stadium. The Aquas won the game by a final score of 6-2. Houston is now 59-75.
Ricky Zika had a big 3-run home run for the Aquas in the bottom of the first inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Sal Mejia and swatted a home run to right. It was his 22nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aquas ahead, 4-0.
Said losing manager Erich Weatherholt: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
