Devon Jenkins, who leads the EC in complete games with 3, was terrific for the Montreal Harfangs in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Boston Greens. His performance earned Jenkins rave reviews. Jenkins, now 6-8, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 6, walking 5, and allowing no runs. The win gives Montreal a season record of 72-60.

Tai sun Chow had a direct impact on the outcome. Chow contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Montreal up, 3-0.

"Bottom line," said Boston skipper Matt Glazer, "we didn't play well enough to win."
