Toronto pitcher Carl Rodda had a large part in his team beating the San Diego Destroyers, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ignacio Noriega earned the save, his 30th in 31 tries. The victory gives the Juggernauts a record of 67-65.

Toronto took a 5-3 lead on Keith Cassavaugh's 17th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Cassavaugh hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Diego pitcher John Rochford visibly frustrated.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Steve Alstadt.
