Wolves Get Better of Destroyers, 11-5
Paul Rees, who is on pace for 106 RBI this season, led Vancouver to a win over San Diego. The final score was 11-5. Rees collected 4 RBI, while going 2 for 4 at the plate. Tied up with the Destroyers in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Wolves got a boost from shortstop Ken Draves. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Draves saw a first pitch fastball from Chris Whiffen and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Vancouver on top, 4-2.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
