Baltimore first baseman Harold Wicks picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the San Francisco Friars, 4-3. At 68-63, Baltimore is in second place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division.

Wicks contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baltimore in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Wicks took a fastball from Bernie Iglesias and stroked the home run to left-center. His 22nd home run of the season allowed the Kings to leap in front, 4-2.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Wicks. "And vice-versa."
