Cyclones Double Up Lobster, 4-2

Ed Rice, who finished 5th in the EC in saves with 19 last year, was locked in. The right-hander led the Miami Cyclones to a 4-2 win against the Maine Lobster at Kroger Stadium. Miami reliever Clement Powell picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Pat Cochran was saddled with the loss. Victor Alonzo got the save, the 4th for him this season.
Chris Hodges contributed to the Miami win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Hodges told the Miami Daily.
The defeat makes Maine 58-72.
