Denver Gets 6-4 Win Versus Tucson in 10
Tucson shortstop Kenny Sturdivant was sensational. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Denver beat the Toros, 6-4, in 10 innings. Nestor Cantu snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Ray Broekhuizen suffered the loss. Denver has a record of 57-73, placing them 4th in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.

Denver got a knockout punch from Ramon Chirino. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
