The Friars got a big at-bat from catcher Lyalya Markosiants. For the game, Markosiants was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 16th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-1 lead.
