Kodiaks Get Close Win Over Vikings, 6-5
|
The Alaska Kodiaks gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Alaska Kodiaks racked up a win at Tundradome, bumping off the Minneapolis Vikings, 6-5. B.J. Terriquez, who started for Alaska, pitched effectively for his team. The Kodiaks own a robust 84-44 mark.
Ricky Rangel was the walk-off hero for Alaska. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kodiaks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The ending was a real humdinger," Rangel told reporters after the game.
