Al Anzaldua did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Houston Aquas an extra-inning, 5-4 loss to the San Diego Destroyers at Tesoro Stadium. Anzaldua was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The last-place Destroyers lifted their record to 56-73.

Ramão Bizarro came through with a big-time hit for San Diego. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Houston manager Brandon Coroian said, following the tough loss.
