The Baltimore Kings managed to get by the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 2-1, at Legednary Park. Baltimore pitcher Cruz Vaquez set himself apart with his performance. Vaquez got the win, improving to 7-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Victor Balaguer got the save, the 6th for him this season.

Sam Waltz had a direct impact on the outcome. Waltz contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Baltimore up, 1-0.
