Jefferson had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-1 sinker from Alexis Donini, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Senators a 5-3 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Jefferson.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Jefferson told the Washington Daily. "You win just by scoring more runs."
