The Denver Glaciers did just enough to nip the Los Angeles Stars, 3-2, in 10 innings. Denver pitcher Earl Starr, in particular, had a standout performance. Denver, at 56-73, holds down 4th place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.

The Glaciers were down to their final out when third baseman Alexjandria Leija turned a 1-2 sinker from Luis Castillo into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Mountain Dew Park crowd go wild.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Leija said.
