Kodiaks Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The San Diego Destroyers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Allan Tinter into a win. Instead, the Alaska Kodiaks prevailed, 4-3. Tinter threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win was credited to Xiang-ling Khoo in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ricardo Guajardo took the loss. J.D. Haynes locked down his 1st save.
Alaska took a 4-3 lead on Felix Perez's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Perez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Diego pitcher Ricardo Guajardo visibly frustrated.
"Both teams played hard," said Alaska manager Alex King.
The win has Alaska at 2-3.
