The Los Angeles Stars picked up a win at Mountain Dew Park, dropping the Denver Glaciers, 7-2, in 10 innings. Roberto Davila, who is tied for 8th in the WC with a 9.0 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Los Angeles is now 68-59, Denver 55-72.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Justin Boots to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Stars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"All in all, I thought Roberto pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
