|
Benefiting from O-jun Joh's productive game, the Alaska Kodiaks downed the Minneapolis Vikings, 11-8. Joh was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Kodiaks. Alaska pitcher Alan Batten earned the win, hiking his record to 12-5. Katsuo Nozawa suffered the loss. Juneau Beauchamp was called on to finish, recording his 12th save.
Joh broke a deadlock in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Alaska up, 7-6.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Alaska skipper Alex King.
With the win, the Kodiaks have a record of 83-43.
