Titans second baseman Ryan Mellon put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Los Angeles Stars. Mellon was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for New York in the contest. Carlos Palafox earned the win to go to 4-0. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. The Titans improved their record to 56-69 with the win over Los Angeles.

New York took a 7-4 lead on Mellon's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Ewan Williams in the bottom of the sixth, propelled New York to the win.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Mellon told the New York Today.
