Starting pitcher Carl Rodda pitched well enough to help the Baltimore Kings beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-6. Rodda, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Julio Olivo recorded the save for Baltimore, his 7th of the season.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Kings grabbed the lead when Vance Kitchen rapped a two-out single. Baltimore was trailing 1-0, when Kitchen hit a 2-run single off Quinn Topp to put his team in front, 2-1.

"Carl really held it together well," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter.

The Kings are now 78-47.
