Wolves Win 5-4 Walk-Off
|
Los Angeles got a terrific performance from pitcher Kingsley Bozek, but it wasn't enough to beat the Vancouver Wolves. Vancouver won the Fox-Chong Park contest, 5-4. Bozek threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, the Wolves improved to 56-68.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Vancouver designated hitter Anaximander McKay, facing Jason Petruska, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Wolves the 5-4 win.
"It was a test of wills," said Zach Meinen, the Vancouver skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
