Alaska Absorbs 8-4 Loss to Baltimore
|
The Baltimore Kings stopped the Alaska Kodiaks, 8-4, at AT&T Park. The Kings got a big game from Danny Rubio, who went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Teh-huai Yap claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 5-1. Picking up the save was Jeremy Lanham, his 5th.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Kings grabbed the lead when Rubio hit his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Juneau Beauchamp made it 6-4, Baltimore.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Rubio said in postgame remarks.
The victory gives the Kings a record of 77-47.
