The Lobster faced a stiff challenge from Santiago pitcher Beau Eschmann, but persevered to claim a win at Ballpark of Portland. The final score was 1-0. Eschmann went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Maine pitcher Tom Dobie got the win, upping his record to 6-7. Beau Eschmann got the loss. Getting the save was Chris Maxwell, his 15th.

The Lobster got a big at-bat from catcher Roberto Fondin. For the game, Fondin was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Maine a 1-0 lead.

"We put together a nice win," Fondin said.
