The Toronto Juggernauts picked up a win at Molson Park, knocking off the Brooklyn Browns, 2-1. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Bob Achbar. He played a key role in the triumph. Achbar yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1. The win puts the Juggernauts at 57-66, while the Browns drop to 66-58.

Matt Salmon was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk for Toronto. The 2083 EC home run champion had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Olympio Odescalchi. It was his 109th RBI of the season.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Brooklyn manager Jason Cormier. "We just didn't cash in."
