3-2 Win for Maine in Extras
|
In a tight tilt between the Maine Lobster and the Montreal Harfangs, Axel Mendiola was the difference-maker. The Maine right-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 10 innings. John Liberty, who finished 2nd in the WC in ERA with 2.84 in 2080, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Hawk Hartshorn. Maine's record now stands at 40-83, placing them last in the Eastern Conference Goff Division.
The Lobster got a clutch hit from third baseman Jason Brown. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lobster.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
