Las Vegas beat Tucson at Western Coliseum, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to left fielder Sardis Abrego. He went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2. Las Vegas pitcher Cesar Lobatos got the win, upping his record to 4-8. Fidel Flores got the loss. Picking up the save was J.P. McNealy, his 17th.
Had Eddie Flores not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Flores hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Aces.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Flores.
The defeat makes Tucson 64-59.
