Baltimore Dealt 6-4 Defeat
|
The Alaska Kodiaks topped the Baltimore Kings, 6-4, with catcher David Cortez playing a big role. Cortez went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Kodiaks in the win. Javy Granillo finished to wrap up his 5th save. The Kodiaks, at 68-54, lead by one game in their division.
Alaska took a 6-2 lead on Cortez's 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Jeremy Lanham in the top of the seventh, propelled Alaska to the win.
"No time for posing," said Cortez. "The next game will be here before you know it."
