Spectres Pick Up 6-3 Win Against Boston
|
Conditions were not ideal but Philadelphia and Boston were able to put their game in the books.
The Philadelphia Spectres locked up a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia, knocking off the Boston Greens, 6-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Gary Banks. He played a major role in the triumph. Banks picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-9. Divino Aljeroz earned the save for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia took a 5-3 lead on Eddie Kelly's 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Kelly hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Juan Colleano visibly frustrated.
"Gary is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff.
Philadelphia is second in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division with a record of 66-56.
