The Denver Glaciers topped the New York Titans, 4-3, in Western Conference action at Polo Grounds II. The game was highlighted by the performance of Denver pitcher Raul Garibaldi. The winner was Garibaldi. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Corey LaCognata. The Glaciers, at 68-55, sit in second place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.
Alex Guilzar, who led the WC in OPS with 1.093 in 2082, had a direct impact on the outcome. Guilzar contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Denver up, 4-0.
"Raul gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
