Brooklyn 6-1 Losers to Juggernauts
|
The Toronto Juggernauts converted a terrific effort from starter Antonio Avellaneda into a win over the Brooklyn Browns at Molson Park. The Juggernauts won the game by a final score of 6-1. The 4th-place Juggernauts bumped their record to 56-67.
The Juggernauts got a big boost from second baseman Renzo Mosquera who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Browns hurler Keung Fung. It was his 9th walk of the season and put Toronto on top, 1-0.
In comments to the Toronto Observer, Avellaneda insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
