Videaux Helps Stars Defeat Destroyers, 7-2
Los Angeles first baseman Dennis Videaux helped his team beat the San Diego Destroyers, 7-2. Videaux, who finished 4th in the WC in home runs with 40 in 2083, went 3 for 3 for the Stars. Hector Bazaldua, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held the Destroyers to 1 run on 1 hit over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The win gives Los Angeles a season record of 65-59.

Danny Serrano had a big run-scoring double for the Stars in the bottom of the first inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Arturo Covarrubias, who finished 5th in the WC in wins with 14 in 2081, and swatted a double to left. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 2-0.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Serrano.
