Leija Excels in 5-0 Denver Win
Boosted by the 4-hit performance of Alexjandria Leija, who is tied for 10th in the WC with a .391 on-base percentage, the Denver Glaciers defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 5-0. Earl Starr, who is tied for 4th in the WC in complete games with 1, was the winner. He's now 7-11. The loser was Jarrod Beckman. Denver bumps their record to 55-69 with the win.

Denver used a well-timed hit by Chris Eighmy to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Denver skipper Todd Bleess.
