Greens Sink Lobster, 3-0
|
In a low-scoring game between the Boston Greens and the Maine Lobster, pitcher Javy Alejo was the difference-maker. The Boston right-hander was tough as nails in the 3-0 Greens win. The winner was Alejo. He threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Ramon Rod. Earning his 28th save of the year was Miko Hakala.
Boston used the hitting of Jamie Swanson to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Greens on top, 3-0. For the game, Swanson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Boston manager Matt Glazer.
With the win, the Greens have a record of 70-51.
