Harfangs Slap 3-1 Loss on Metropolitanos
|
The Montreal Harfangs racked up a win at Estadio Latinoamericano, bumping off the Havana Metropolitanos, 3-1. Tom Dobie, who started for Montreal, pitched effectively for his team. Marco Ramirez recorded the save for Montreal, his 1st of the season. The Harfangs lead the Eastern Conference Paul Pagac Division by a game.
Jose Gonzales, who is tied for 5th in the EC in RBI with 84, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gonzales contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Montreal up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
