Houston catcher Shane Ausmus picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Tucson Toros, 7-6. Getting the save was Danny Mathews, his 25th. The Aquas sit in second place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division with a record of 69-54.
With the game tied, 5-5, in the bottom of the sixth, Ausmus had a key at-bat for Houston. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ausmus hit a 2-run single off Cody Sosnowski, making the score 7-5, Aquas.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Aquas manager Brandon Coroian. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
