Pike Goes Deep Twice in 7-0 Kodiaks Win
|
Alderaan Pike, who finished 3rd in the EC in runs with 109 in 2078, knocked in 4 runs to help the Alaska Kodiaks win, 7-0, over the St. Louis Gaedels. The Kodiaks are now 66-54, while the Gaedels fall to 50-72.
Alaska took a 5-0 lead on Pike's 27th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Hector Roybal in the top of the seventh, propelled Alaska to the win.
Pike told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
