Late Charge Gets Kansas City 12-7 Win
The Kansas City Athletics beat the Las Vegas Aces, 12-7, at Western Coliseum. The win was due in part to right fielder Hisatoshi Morita, who was 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Elijah Yates picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-7. Dryden Ice suffered the loss. Kansas City is now 67-56, Las Vegas 58-64.

Morita had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Athletics went on to win.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Morita told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
