Starting pitcher Chris Johnston gave the Boston Greens a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Buffalo Rangers, 3-1, at Bison Stadium. Frank Ulloa got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Boston's record now stands at 59-61, placing them third in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division.

Boston used the timely hitting of Trevor Short to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Greens on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Boston skipper Matt Glazer.
