Greens Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Boston Greens took Buffalo pitcher Pablo Alvarez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Bison Stadium. The final score had Boston getting past the Rangers, 5-2. Alvarez went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. Boston pitcher Raudel Hernandez got the win, upping his record to 2-4. Ricardo Alas got the loss. The win elevated the Greens to 66-53.
Trevor Short came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Short attributed the win to his team's "determination."
