The Havana Metropolitanos dealt the Montreal Harfangs a 6-0 loss at Estadio Latinoamericano. Chris Kouri, who finished 5th in the EC in stolen bases with 33 in 2081, was the star on offense. He was 1-3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Jon Dehmer in relief, making him now 8-2. Antonio Avellaneda took the loss for Montreal. The first-place Metropolitanos improved to 72-48.
Havana third baseman Homer Hanes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 121st hit of the season and put the Metropolitanos ahead, 3-0.
Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
