Cyclones Earn 8-4 Win Versus Toronto
|
The Miami Cyclones knocked off the Toronto Juggernauts, 8-4, in Eastern Conference action at Molson Park. Miami pitcher and Kitchener, Canada, native Jeremy Fitch had an outstanding performance. Miami reliever Robert Rosas was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Fabian Estrada took the loss. The Cyclones sit in last place in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division with a record of 47-72.
Miami used the timely hitting of Francisco Duenas to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Jeremy was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Miami manager Chris Stephan.
