Rangers Snatch 3-2 Win
|
Hurler Keiyo Nagao gave the Buffalo Rangers a solid start. The native of Nagoya, Aichi helped his team defeat the Montreal Harfangs, 3-2, at Bison Stadium. Nagao yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-0. The Rangers raised their record to 68-51.
Bobby Rojas had a big solo home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Fukuo Furukawa and punished it. The result was his 25th home run of the season, which put the Rangers on top, 3-1.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Montreal skipper Brendan Henry.
