Kings Take Tight Tilt
|
The Baltimore Kings picked up a win at AT&T Park, taking down the Seattle Arrows, 4-3. Starting pitcher Carl Rodda was a big reason why. James L'Hommedieu earned his 8th save in 10 chances. After today's action, Baltimore sits at 74-46; Seattle slips to 54-66.
Vance Kitchen dealt the Arrows a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Baltimore leading 3-2, Kitchen, who finished 2nd in the WC in doubles with 47 in 2072, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
