San Francisco Gets 2-0 Win Behind Lefty Kaneshiro
|
In a tension-filled contest between the San Francisco Friars and the Phoenix Thunderbirds, pitcher Kiyohiro Kaneshiro was superb. The San Francisco left-hander spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. Bruce Feyereisen converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. The Friars move to 53-68 with the win, while the Thunderbirds drop to 45-76.
Kaneshiro was dominant for San Francisco. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts. He threw 87 pitches over 7 innings in the contest.
"Kiyohiro can overpower you," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.
