The Santiago Avispas picked up a win at Western Coliseum, knocking off the Las Vegas Aces, 5-4. On the mound for Santiago was right-hander Beau Eschmann. He played a key role in the triumph. Eschmann, now 17-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 4 runs. The Avispas sport a record of 80-38.

Santiago used a well-timed hit by Mayumi Watanabe to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Avispas ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Beau commanded the zone from bottom to top," said Santiago manager Jacob Pauly.
