Stars Go 10 Innings to Beat Chicago, 8-6
The Los Angeles Stars overcame a pretty good performance by Chicago first baseman Manny Sagastisado, beating the Phantoms, 8-6, in 10 innings. Sagastisado hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Rafael Collins was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Stars now own a record of 63-55.

Los Angeles used a timely hit from Frank Herlihy to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Stars ahead, 8-6. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.

In postgame comments, Herlihy said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
