Riding the 3-hit performance of the 25-year old third baseman Derek Jefferson, the Washington Senators stopped the Maine Lobster, 6-2, in 9 innings. Pablo Alvarez got the win, improving to 8-9. He held the Lobster to 2 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. The wins continue to add up for Washington. The latest makes it 7 in a row.
