Cedillo Excels in 7-5 Portland Win
The 7-5 Portland win over Phoenix was due largely to Jairo Cedillo. The Dragons designated hitter was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Alberto Rosario earned his 10th save in 13 chances. Portland, at 61-58, occupies third place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.

Portland grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Cedillo hit a grand slam home run off Ernesto Alvarez. His 22nd home run of the season put the Dragons out in front, 7-3.
