Alaska 77-42 After 6-5 Win Over San Francisco

The Alaska Kodiaks beat the San Francisco Friars, 6-5. Alaska pitcher and Waterford, Michigan, native Quinn Topp led the way. Jeff Amendola, credited with the save, is now 11 for 14 in save opportunities. The first-place Kodiaks are now 77-42, the Friars 66-53.
Felix Perez had a big bases-clearing double for the Kodiaks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Alaska leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Alex Laso, who finished 5th in the EC in wins with 15 in 2081, and swatted a double to left. It was his 43rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kodiaks ahead, 5-1.
"Quinn has got a slow heartbeat," said Alaska manager Alex King. "He doesn't panic or anything."
