The San Francisco Friars wanted a good start from Heriberto Flores -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-0 San Francisco win over the Alaska Kodiaks at Tundradome. Chris Mayea was credited with the save for San Francisco, his 7th of the season. With the win, San Francisco goes to 66-52, while the Kodiaks fall to 76-42.

Flores was in the zone all game. He frustrated Alaska hitters while giving the Friars 7 innings of quality work. Flores threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Flores.
