Harfangs Peel Off 4-2 Win
|
Montreal parlayed a decent outing from starter John Rochford into a solid win over the Vancouver Wolves. The final score was 4-2. Rochford yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-5. The Harfangs raised their record to 42-76.
Zhao-ji Zhang had a big run-scoring double for the Harfangs in the top of the third inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from former first round draft pick Jose Madrid and swatted a double to center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Harfangs ahead, 2-0.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Rochford.
