Aces Topple Vikings with Late Rally
The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Western Coliseum, dropping the Minneapolis Vikings, 7-3. Joshua Eyres, who is tied for 3rd in the WC in wins with 12, was the difference-maker. Las Vegas reliever Billy Zaffuto picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Jordan Zuniga was saddled with the loss. The win puts the Aces at 72-47, while the Vikings drop to 56-62.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Venceslau Pontes was at the plate when Las Vegas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Aces to go in front, 4-3.

"Joshua was able to execute his pitches," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian. "Simple as that."
