|
The Cincinnati Twins coasted to a win over the Havana Metropolitanos, 10-1. Walter Gravel had a good day at the plate for Cincinnati. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. The Metropolitanos have now dropped 5 straight.
Cincinnati second baseman Ari Meklau contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 106th hit of the season and put the Twins ahead, 2-0.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Meklau.
