Toros Win in Extras, 8-5
The Tucson Toros outlasted the San Francisco Friars, 8-5, in 11 innings. Jose Pedroza led the way, going 4-for-6 for Tucson. The win was credited to Bruce Feyereisen in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Chris Mayea took the loss. Andy Miao collected save number 2.

Tucson needed the clutch hitting of Brian Zeeff to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Toros on top, 7-5. For the game, Zeeff had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Zeeff told the Tucson Today. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

The Toros, at 61-56, sit in second place in the Western Conference Najera Division.
