Kodiaks Improve to 76-41 with 6-0 Win
|
The first-place Alaska Kodiaks picked up another win.
The Alaska Kodiaks got a stellar performance from pitcher Will Spangenberg, who handcuffed the San Francisco offense en route to a win, 6-0, at Tundradome. With the win, Alaska goes to 76-41, while the Friars fall to 65-52.
Jeremy Curzon hit a run-scoring double off Kevin Voda in the bottom of the second, which put the Kodiaks in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Curzon had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Spangenberg. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
